Who Has Two Thumbs and Writes This Blog?: FIOS and our homeowners association

HOAs are a widely accepted boondoggle whereby a small group of nosy neighbors impose ridiculous regulations or impede needed advances in a community. The HOA cares big time what color your drapes are, but it takes them 8 months (at a minimum) to figure out if they want higher speed internet. At some point in my life, I'm going to join an HOA and vote against every single thing and introduce resolutions to disband during every meeting.

Part of me also wants to join the HOA, just to be the voice of reason. I
would probably fail, but one can always have hopes and dreams.

You should go to one of the meetings. Or send me. Or better yet, Zach - appoint him as your attorney in fact for this purpose They will do anything to get rid of him.

If they need a quicker review of the contract, I'll do it pro bono. That means "for the bone" for all you unlearneds out there.

I've been to a few and they are terrible.

I should go, but what will it get me? A quicker update on their laziness?
